Privacy

In one paragraph

Fuzhou Coffee is designed to tell you as little about yourself as possible. We do not run ads, we do not track you across apps or websites, we do not sell data to brokers, and we do not use third-party SDKs for analytics or advertising. Your private tasting notes are forever private. You can browse the full venue catalog, map, routes, and events without signing in. Sign in with Apple is only required if you want to save, visit, or take notes.

What we collect

The following categories of data are described on our App Store product page under App Privacy, and are the only categories we collect:

• User ID. When you sign in with Apple, we create a Fuzhou Coffee account identifier to attach your saves, visits, and private notes to your account. Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking.
• Device ID. An anonymous identifier we generate on your device to de-duplicate analytics events (for example, to avoid counting the same app open twice). Not linked to your identity. Not used for tracking.
• Coarse location. Requested only when you open the Map tab, only to rank nearby venues. Sent with the nearby request and not retained on our servers in association with you. Not linked to your identity. Not used for tracking.
• Product interaction. Events like "viewed home", "tapped save", "opened route" — the kind of data that tells us which features are working. Linked to your identity if you are signed in, anonymous otherwise. Used to improve the app. Not used for tracking.
• Search history. The queries you type into the in-app search. Used to improve the catalog and search ranking. Not shared with anyone. Not used for tracking.
• Other user content. Your private tasting notes — drink name, bean note, impression, and revisit intent. Stored on our servers so they can sync between your devices. Forever private in V1. Only visible to you.
• Other diagnostic data. Request IDs and typed server errors used to debug issues. Linked to your account for signed-in users so we can investigate support requests. Not used for tracking.

What we do not collect

• Your name, phone number, physical address, or payment information.
• Your contacts, photos, audio, or files.
• Your precise location. We only request coarse location, and only on the Map tab.
• Health, fitness, or other sensitive information.
• Your advertising identifier (IDFA). The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track you.
• Any third-party analytics or advertising SDK data. There are none in the app.

Sign in with Apple

We use Sign in with Apple as the only authentication method in V1. Apple provides us with an anonymous, stable identifier for your Apple ID and, if you choose, a relay email address. We do not store your real email. You can revoke the app's access at any time from Settings → Apple ID → Password & Security → Sign in with Apple.

Location

The app asks for "when in use" location permission only when you first open the Map tab. If you deny it, the Map still works — it simply centers on Fuzhou's historic core instead of your actual position. We never ask for background location.

How long we keep your data

• Account and notes. Kept as long as your account exists. Deleting your account removes them.
• Analytics events. Retained in aggregate for up to 24 months.
• Server logs. Retained for up to 30 days for debugging, then rotated.

Where your data lives

Fuzhou Coffee runs on Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1 (SQLite), and Cloudflare R2. Data is stored in Cloudflare's global network with regional routing. We do not sell or share data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics providers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account at any time. Write to coffee-fuzhou@weiming.ai from the email address associated with your Apple ID relay and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Fuzhou Coffee is not directed at children under 13. The app is rated 13+ because some listed venues are tagged as coffee-by-day, alcohol-by-night crossover venues (a common Fuzhou cafe pattern).

Changes to this policy

If we materially change how we collect or use data, we will update this page and increase the app version so you see the change on the App Store product page. The last-updated date above always reflects the current version.
